HOTSY TOTSY is a Collingswood, NJ based, indie-pop trio who broke onto the Philadelphia music scene in early 2014. Long time best friends Jenny Pilong, Diana Carino, and Amanda Brizzi decided they wanted to co-create a new and original sound that would, not only highlight their individual talents, but foster unique harmonies and a seamless blend of voices. While their sound is definitely inspired by the girl groups of the 40s, 50s, & 60s, to quote John Vettese (The Key at WXPN), “this band covers much more sonic territory than just that, from showtunes and vaudeville to jazzy expanses of mystery and vibe a la Bat For Lashes.”
After a successful Kickstarter campaign, in the spring of 2016, Hotsy Totsy recorded and released their debut album, Fresh Pineapple, at The Record Lounge in Philadelphia. A year and a half later, the girls re-entered the studio, this time Gradwell House in Haddon Heights, NJ, and came back with their sophomore EP: Skeletons & Ghosts, as well as a holiday single entitled, “Snow Day”. In 2018, Skeletons & Ghosts started garnering airplay on over sixty AAA and college radio stations both nationally and internationally. To quote Mike Penard (ISA Radio, France): "Hotsy Totsy...a sound that obviously reminds us of the girl bands but they found a way to sound original... from melancholy to pop melodies, there is a confidence that shines from these recordings, a confidence in their ability to travel a different sonic road..”
Hotsy Totsy has graced many stages in the expanded tri- state area that include: World Cafe Live, Union Transfer, TLA, & Ortlieb’s in Philadelphia; Smyrna Opera House, World Cafe Live at the Queen, and The LadyBug Festival in Delaware; as well as Rockwood Music Hall in NYC.

"Hotsy Totsy is their time machine. The three singers climb out and it’s 1948 onstage, those giddy post-war days of swing and songbird groups like the Andrews Sisters, and they come back and it’s 2016, and here they are. But Hotsy isn’t peddling retro camp.
Below the surface of the makeup, it’s all about their harmonies, soaring and intricate, as the Collingswood-based trio salutes the jitterbug girl groups but fashions its own contemporary sound in the quest to be not just different, but memorable."

"We've worked with the gals in Hotsy Totsy several times in Wilmington, DE and they are crowd favorites regardless of the venue. Amazing harmonies and a very refreshing retro feel, we highly recommend booking and seeing Hotsy Totsy!"

"Hotsy Totsy is one of our favorite bands to work with. They are extremely talented, have killer harmonies, and are friendly, fun, and professional. They performed at our Patsy Cline & Willie Nelson tribute, "Crazy", and also at "Fiona Fest", a tribute to Fiona Apple. It has been a wonderful experience watching them perform their own versions of songs by these great artists and developing their original music. We would highly recommend experiencing a Hotsy Totsy live performance! They are not to be missed!"
